Health Workers for Development: The UK-Kenya partnership tackling HIV transmission

An HIV outbreak anywhere can lead to a global epidemic, threatening progress everywhere. In parts of Kenya, gender-based violence and teenage pregnancy are fuelling one of the world’s highest HIV rates.

The partnership between Power for the People and Homa Bay County is helping Kenyan health workers stop this triple threat at its source, finding solutions that protect vulnerable people abroad and in the UK.

Listen to health champions on the ground explain why addressing global problems at the source makes everyone safer, stronger, and more resilient.
